Want to go from light brown hair to a darker brunette?

Right now my hair is a light brownish-blonde color, in the beginning of the summer i died it light brown but i was at the beach a lot, and it has so many blonde highlights now. I am getting it done again in like 2 weeks, my hair is naturally a typical brown, I have dark brown eyes and light (not pale though) skin. Just curious what shade of a darker brunette would look good? Celebrity pics are good too. Sorry for the long question haha , thanks a lot.
